Scraper Bikes
This video was a long time coming. i really like that these kids don't even have nice bikes, i.e. they are not real vintage bikes, or low riders, they are shitty schwinn re-makes with homemade plastic inserts in the rims. I don't know if the shot is in this version of the video, but in the other cut you can see that the work trike has "That go" spraypainted on the back of it.
I guess ghostriding a trike is the the only way you can emulate car ghostriding. Within bike culture, to ghostride a bike means ride one and hold on to another with no passenger at the same time. Or, once "ghostride the whip" got into the nomenclature, just letting your bike go and kind of dancing next to it for a second while it crashes. I would like to see some training wheels in future iterations of Scraper Bikes.
To the Trunk Boiz, I say bravo.
Also of note, this video, like countless others on youtube, takes place (in part) in a cul-de-sac. In order to document this phenomena of suburban cul-de-sac as the fastest growing creative instiution, I have created a favorites playlist to document them as such.
